The kW-flexiburst laser will enable high precision laser drilling of a range of materials including metals, glass, textiles, dielectrics and ceramics.

For the drilling application high pulse energies will enhance the speed and precision of drilling over a wide range of materials and thicknesses as the energy is distributed along the length of the drilled hole, while low pulse duration will prevent heat accumulation in the materials. 
The systems high average power enables the required throughput of 6000 holes per minute in the application of high speed drilling of ceramics with holes from Ø100μm up to Ø1mm.
