The kW-flexiburst project brings together both academic and industrial partners, with the aim to develop a breakthrough laser technology to enable the exploration of new routes for laser processing of transparent materials; demonstrate high throughput ablation metals, GHz-burst pulse drilling in ceramic substrates for diverse components and high-speed fabrication of precision shaped holes for watch components and laser turning of micro components for medical applications.
The project held its kick-off meeting in Paris on 15th January 2019. The aim of this meeting was to develop the initial project processes, and to begin planning for the early work in the relevant workpackages. The consortium also held its first board meetings and agreed on the participants for each of these boards.
The attendees of the meeting were:
François Courvoisier (CNRS)
Aurélie Sabanovic (CNRS)
Nathalie Appel (CNRS)
Baptiste Gaussen (CNRS)
Marwan Abdou Ahmed (USTUTT)
